Eva Longoria stole the show at the premiere of Rust And Bone yesterday, showing off her newly toned figure and golden glow in a plunging white Emilio Pucci gown.
The actress, who channeled old school Hollywood glamour with a finger-roll waves and diamond accessories, has been on a strict diet in preparation for the film festival.
Speaking to Gala France, she said: "Right now, I'm on a very strict diet. I have eliminated rice, pasta and bread. I drink a lot of green tea. It's hard but it works, I lost pounds and I'm glad of it!
"And to tone my body, a trainer comes three times a week at home for muscle-building exercises."
Other stars to hit the Cannes red carpet yesterday included Freida Pinto, who wore a yellow lace Atelier Versace gown, and Jane Fonda.
Marion Cotillard, who stars in the movie, went for a gothic Christian Dior Couture gown, with she teamed with a diamond-laden up-do.
Beth Ditto  was snapped enjoying a smooch with Sacha Baron Cohen (in his dictator guise) earlier this week, but yesterday, she turned her attentions to her fiancée Kristen Ogata, putting on a very public display of affection as they arrived at the Rust And Bone premiere.
Yesterday also marked the premiere of Madagascar 3, which saw Jada Pinkett Smith and Jessica Chastain take a turn on the red carpet.
Pinkett Smith wore a white, strapless Versace dress, while Chastain went for a short, polka dot Dolce & Gabbana number.

Beth Ditto paid tribute to the late movie siren Marilyn Monroe at the opening ceremony for the 65th Cannes International Film Festival yesterday.
The Gossip star channeled Monroe's classic retro beauty, wearing a ruched cream dress to perform Candle In The Wind in front of the film festival jury - which comprises of Diane Kruger, Emmanuelle Devos, Ewan McGregor, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Hiam Abbass, Italian director and president of the jury Nanni Moretti, Haitian director Raoul Peck, British director Andrea Arnold and Alexander Payne - and images of the actress, which were shown on a giant screen behind her.
Gossip released their fifth album, A Joyful Of Noise, earlier this week.
Bérénice Béjo officially opened the 2012 Cannes Film Festival at a ceremony, which was held inside the Palais des Festivals.
The Artist actress looked every inch the screen siren in  a scarlet red Louis Vuitton gown.
Stars in attendance at the opening ceremony included Eva Longoria, who dazzled in an embellished Marchesa gown on the Cannes red carpet.
The Help star Jessica Chastain went for a cool and understated white Alexander McQueen creation - a fitting look for the searing heat of the French Riviera.
Tilda Swinton wowed in a structured bronze Haider Ackermann creation, while Freida Pinto went for an embellished, peplum detailed Michael Angel dress.
The real talk of the red carpet, however, was jury panelist Diane Kruger's breathtaking Giambattista Valli Couture gown - a flowing, draped mint green dress that billowed in the wind as she walked.
Lana Del Rey also made an appearance at Cannes. The singer wore a simple black strapless gown for the occasion.
Meanwhile, as the stars arrived for the opening ceremony, Sacha Baron Cohen began his reign of controversy in the name of promoting his new movie, The Dictator.
The spoof actor enlisted the help of George Clooney's ex, Elisabeta Canalis to help him drum up publicity. The pair - with Baron Cohen dressed as The Dictator - were seen frolicking on a yacht together, enjoying Champagne and seductive massages. But the romance was short-lived. The Dictator visibly tired of the Italian model, causing gasps from onlookers after he was seen dragging her around the deck by her feet. Canalis is then seen being taken deck, before one of Aladeen's advisors re-emerged with what appeared to be a black body bag, which was then thrown overboard.
Rest assured however, no models were harmed in the making of the stunt - Canalis was later seen enjoying some down time on the beach before heading back to her hotel.
